Because I really do still like the format of this blog (and, even more importantly, I adore Brock, the very talented designer from Infinit Design behind this blog ! ) I will most likely be 'repurposing' this blog for something else at some point in the hopefully not-so-distant future! | Hardly seems possible yet here it is! Time to schedule Senior Portrait sessions!
This year I'm offering a special promotion to those that do schedule their sessions ahead of time (ahem....take note all procrastinators!). Actually, as an added incentive, I'm offering TWO promotions! Here you go...... 1) All seniors that call and schedule a session prior to August 15 will receive a complimentary set of 24 wallets. The session does not have to take place by August 15th....you simply have to make the phone call or email me and schedule a session! 2) 2 FOR 1! If you and a friend BOTH call/email and schedule a session before Sept. 15th you can split the session fee! So, instead of paying a $250 session fee, you'll each only pay $125! You will each receive YOUR OWN SESSION (you don't have to split the session time....you just get to split the cost!). And yes, both offers can be combined! |

| I'm happy to announce that I am planning another weekend of photo sessions in Central Park...this time in July! l'll be in NYC 7/17-7/18 and will be scheduling photo sessions in Central Park on those days.
If you are interested in booking a session please let me know when a good time would be for you. ( It would be helpful if you could give me your first and second choices just in case a time is taken before you get to me ) Here are the time slots available: Saturday, July 17th 11:30 am FILLED 12:15 pm FILLED 1:00 pm 1:45 pm 2:15 pm 3:00 pm FILLED Sunday, July 18th 10:00 am FILLED 10:45 am FILLED 11:30 am 12:15 pm 1:00 pm 1:45 pm 2:30 pm A session may take 20 minutes...it may take 30 minutes. It will vary but the schedule will allow for that. Kids and families playing frisbee, having a picnic or simply strolling through the park. Think texture and patterns...and definitely casual. Be who you are and don't dress differently than you would on any summer day in the park. Be prepared to play and have fun! I love these sessions and can't wait to do them again this year...twice! ( I will still be doing winter sessions in the park later this year ) Session fees are priced at $150 for these special sessions (instead of the regular $250). If you believe you will need extra time (a full session) and would like to schedule a double time slot the regular $250 session fee will apply. A private, password protected online gallery will be posted within 2 weeks of the sessions for you to view and order prints, etc.... If you know of anyone else that would like to schedule a time please pass this along! Hope to see you in NYC! :) SK |

The wedding of Katie and Colman that I photographed last September is now being featured as a Real Wedding on MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS!! |
| Katie and Colman are a couple very near and dear to my heart. I photographed Katie's sister Liz's wedding to John a few years ago, photographed another wedding of friends of theirs in Philadelphia the year before last, and then had the honor of photographing this wedding last year!

| Here is the upcoming schedule for studioTUESDAY sessions in April and May!
April 6th BRIGHT & BOLD Bright yellow, orange, red, green, turquoise, purple, pink.....the brighter and bolder the better! April 13th MOM & CHILD Moms and their kids or just the kids for special portraits to celebrate Mother's Day. April 27th BLACK & WHITE All portraits will be done in black and white. Clothing can be any color (midtones are best....denim is great). May will feature the following sessions: May 4th CELEBRATE BFFs! This session will feature a child and their BFF (best friend forever!). Bring your child's best friend with you (or their beloved stuffed animal, etc...) for a session celebrating friendship. May 11th BRIGHT & BOLD Bright yellow, orange, red, green, turquoise, purple, pink.....the brighter and bolder the better! May 18th BLACK & WHITE All portraits will be done in black and white. Clothing can be any color (midtones are best....denim is great). May 25th DAD & CHILD Dads and their kids or just the kids for special portraits to celebrate Father's Day. if you'd like to schedule a studioTUESDAY session, please send me an email with which day you'd like and the best time range (10 am-noon, noon-2 pm, 2 pm -4 pm) and I'll schedule you in one of the time slots! Remember....the studioTUESDAY session fee is just $99 which makes it a great option to get beautiful photos taken for Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts! |

| It's time!!
I'm so excited to announce a brand new option to my clients.....studioTUESDAY! studioTUESDAY was born out of a desire to offer something a little different and on a different scale from my normal portrait/lifestyle sessions. Here are the specifics: - studioTUESDAY sessions will take place IN THE STUDIO every Tuesday beginning on April 6th - each session will be 20-30 minutes long - each Tuesday will feature a different theme/style/look (for example, a bright, stylish backdrop or all black/white images, a mom/child day or a best friend day, etc...) - there will be a special session fee for studioTUESDAY sessions..... just $99/session! | it's been a LONG time coming.... | |

| ...but it's finally done!! My brand spankin' new website!
And not JUST a new website mind you... there's also an entirely new logo, brand....presence! FINALLY! |
| My website was long overdue for an update. In fact, it was ridiculous how long it had been since I had done anything with it so that was the obvious starting point. But, as I began working on it I realized that I wanted to do more than just change and update the site. I wanted a brand new look...a brand new approach...a brand new, well, BRAND!
Don't get me wrong. I LOVED my old logo....the orange circle with my initials. (the one you'll continue to see on this blog until it gets it's own facelift!) But I was increasingly aware that I wasn't alone in liking that 'look'. I began to notice that everyone seemed to like that same look. In fact, I started to wonder if there were any photographers out there NOT using a colored circle with their name or initials in it! It's certainly a very nice and effective logo style, but I've always been one that likes to march to my own drummer (just ask my mom!) and having something that is used so much made me feel like I was part of a marching band...all wearing the same uniform. Ugh! Definitely time for a change. I decided to make a hard choice (and it was a hard one...I had grown pretty attached to the cute little bugger!) I set out to completely overhaul everything. Top to bottom. Bottom to top. I knew what approach I wanted to take and what I envisioned that would best represent my style, personality, vision, etc.... but I couldn't seem to get it out of my head and into something tangible. That's when I did something very smart. I hired Luxcetera. The BEST decision ever! I adore them and love everything we've been working on. It's crazy how well they understand my ramblings and are able to take the visions from my head and turn them into concrete items. The website is the first official, ready- to- be- shared piece of the new Stacey Kane brand! And I couldn't be happier with it! Quick...take a peek now and be sure to let me know what you think!
